What fails, and when
Inverters
10 to 12 years is typical. Plan for it as a capital event, not a surprise. See it coming and the swap is quick and clean.
DC isolators and connectors
The silent loss. A loose or corroded DC connection quietly drops output for months before anyone on site notices.
Soiling
Matters most near farms, quarries, the coast and bird roosts, where dust, salt and droppings build up fast on a flat array.
Mounting and cabling
Outlives everything else, but still needs an annual check for clamp torque, cable chafing and water getting in.
Common questions
How long does an inspection take?+
Most commercial inspections take two to four hours depending on the panel count and roof access. We work around your site and stay out of the way of operations.
Do we need to be there?+
No. We need safe roof access, the inverter location and a contact by phone. The written report follows afterwards, so nobody has to stand on the roof with us.
What does the report look like?+
A written report with photos, every defect graded red, amber or green, generation measured against what the system should be doing, and priced repair options with no obligation.
Can you fix it the same day?+
Often, yes. We carry common inverter and DC parts, so cleaning and minor repairs are usually done on the visit. Bigger parts are quoted and booked, and we tell you the lead time up front.
Do you cover systems other people installed?+
Yes. Most of the systems we maintain were fitted by someone else, including installers who have since gone out of business. Any brand, any age.
What about our inverter warranty?+
We work within the manufacturer's terms and handle the claim for you if a unit fails in warranty. Deionised cleaning and documented annual inspections keep both the warranty and your insurance valid.
